Annual Digital Metering ‘State of Play’ Report 2020
Background
Most Victorian water utilities are investigating or are currently rolling out digital metering for their customers. There are a variety of approaches being taken and a range of technologies being employed by each utility.
Description of project
Building on the existing annual digital metering survey, this project will deliver a ‘state of play’ report to highlight where Victorian water authorities are now and where they are heading on their digital metering journeys. It’s purpose is:
To inform decision makers on the ‘state of play’ and highlight the growing adoption of digital metering programs in Victoria.
To demonstrate the successes and challenges of digital metering programs in Victoria.
To share results and key metrics of existing programs for utilities looking to start or expand their own digital metering initiatives in the future.
Project benefits
Water authorities, customers, and other stakeholders will gain an overall understanding of the current state and trajectory of digital metering across Victoria. Water authorities will see where they are positioned in relation to their peers.
Common experiences, success, and challenges will be shared to give insights into the progress of digital metering adoption.
